PFR system is designed to monitor a liquid phase reaction happening within a tubular reactor. It is possible to adjust temperature, concentration and flow rate parameters within the tubular reactor. By changing the mentioned parameters user can observe the changes of effluents and can obtain the rate equation for the reaction happening. Basically, in PFR, reactant A and reactant B are continuously pumped from process line with user adjustable flow rate. Both of the reactants are introduced to the tubular reactor, which is immersed in a water filled vessel. Water inside the vessel can be heated via electrical resistance and cooled via tap water. Vessel is mixed via rpm controlled mechanical stirrer and temperature of the vessel content is monitored continuously with a thermocouple. Temperature of the tubular reactor effluents is also monitored continuously with a thermocouple.
